Avik Karmakar is a senior member of the Corporate Law practice at the Bengaluru office of the Firm. Having qualified in 2002, he has significant experience on advisory and transactional aspects of private equity investments, domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, divestment of business and business assets as well as general corporate advisory work.

As a transactions lawyer, Avik has led numerous deals and has advised various marquee venture capital and private equity funds on structuring, due diligence and documentation support of their Indian investments, including drafting, review and negotiations of transaction documents and closing and post-closing actions. Prior to joining us, Avik was the Partner in-charge of the Bengaluru office of ARA Law, where he was at since April 2011.
