Indirect Tax Alert in relation to the recent decision passed by the Hon’ble Bombay High Court in the matter of Sodexo SVC India Private Limited vs The State of Maharashtra and Ors., Writ Petition Nos. 5653 of 2010 and 7503 of 2013, thereby holding Sodexo Meal Vouchers to be ‘goods’ for the purpose of levy of LBT/Octroi under Maharashtra Municipal Corporations Act, 1949.
