We are pleased to share with you an alert on ‘Insolvency and Bankruptcy Laws’ wherein we have discussed a judgment recently passed by National Company Law Appellate Tribunal in the matter of Smart Timing Steel Ltd. v. National Steel and Agro Industries Ltd. which has resulted in creating a bar against foreign companies/ entities which do not hold a bank account in India from seeking remedy under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.
